If you’re over the age of 35 and trying to get pregnant, let’s get something straight…
your eggs are not all bad, you haven’t missed your chance, and IVF is NOT your only option.
My sister didn’t meet her husband until she was 35, had her first baby at 38, and her second baby at 40. Maybe similar to you, she was told to do IVF if she wasn’t successful on her own after six months of trying.
Her doctor didn’t run any lab work, didn’t take a proper history, and didn’t ask anything about her partner—he just told her that she needed to do IVF based solely on her age…mind-blowing.
I’m so glad that she came to me after six months of struggling instead of continuing with her doctor. I knew her history—she was on birth control for over 15 years, worked a stressful corporate job for over 15 years, often skipped meals, and cut her sleep short.
She wasn’t infertile; she was tired, depleted, and disconnected. She had no idea how her cycle worked, why she had acne, or what her nutrient levels were—nobody ever tested it. She was always a hard worker who just pushed through any discomfort, but having a baby isn’t something you can simply push through.
She needed a different approach.
“We had been trying to conceive for 5 years and had 5 miscarriages in a row - all under 8 weeks gestation.
My doctor told me, my eggs are too old (I was 37 at that time) and I should hurry up and do IVF. They also found adenomyosis but, no one provided any solutions except IVF.
My partner’s sperm checked out fine. He had some cholesterol issues and high blood pressure, but no one seemed to think that was a big deal - until we met Dr. Jane. She worked with both of us from day 1 and didn’t cut any corners.
We did lots of testing for both of us - mold, toxins, nutrient levels, hormone levels, etc. Once we had the results, Dr. Jane provided a plan for us and we got to work.
We got pregnant accidentally after 4 months of working with Dr. Jane, but this time it stuck. It was hard to believe that after 5 losses I was finally going to meet my baby. We are so grateful for Dr. Jane’s support through this journey.”
